Read the ground, protect the animal

A footprint is the quietest evidence an animal leaves behind — and often the richest. WildTrack turns that evidence into the data that helps keep endangered species alive.

Our mission

To protect endangered species using non-invasive technology — uniting data analytics, artificial intelligence, and traditional ecological knowledge into a holistic approach.

Why footprints?

Every print is a signature

Footprints are rich, untapped ecological data — easier to find than the animals that left them. Our award-winning footprint identification technology (FIT) uses advanced data analytics and AI to decode each image. Every track becomes data. Every trail becomes insight.

Species
Print shape and proportion, checked against algorithms built for species from black rhino to polar bear and tiny mice
Individual
Morphometrics allow precise measurements of the print — to tell one animal from the next with over 95% accuracy.
Sex
The same print measurements can be used to separate males from females.
Age class
Print size and proportion can often place a track in a juvenile or adult age class.
Greater than 90% accuracy
Overall accuracy across species, individuals, and sex — validated against classical morphometrics.

Why non-invasive?

Smarter conservation. Less intrusion.

A footprint asks nothing of the animal that left it. By working from what's already on the ground, we skip the chase, trapping, the capture, the collar, and the close contact — lowering stress on wildlife and the risk of cross-species disease transmission that comes with handling them. Effective monitoring, without touching the animal.

Who is WildTrack for?

Conservation is strongest when knowledge is shared

"Protecting nature is a global concern, and it takes global participation. Originally inspired by expert trackers in Africa, our work is collaborative by design — built alongside scientists, expert trackers, recreational hikers, and educators who all bring different insights to the same ground". Sky Alibhai, WildTrack co-founder.

Step outside, enjoy nature — and protect it

Whenever you spot an animal footprint, a photo is enough to turn it into conservation data. Every image you share helps train the models that identify species and map wildlife worldwide. It's free: download the WildTrack AI app, register in minutes, and join a global community of trackers contributing real data.
